Private Health Insurance
Should you have private health insurance, your fund may refund some or all of the above fees, depending on your level of cover. If you are unsure, it is recommended that you contact your insurance provider to see what rebate you will be entitled to for dietary consultations and advice. You do not require a referral from your doctor when claiming through private health insurance.
Your doctor may refer you for dietary advice regarding a chronic condition under a Medicare Team Care Arrangement. New Body New Life Nutrition currently accepts Medicare Team Care Arrangements, where you are entitled to receive a $52.95 rebate per session with your dietitian (maximum of five sessions available per calendar year).
Please discuss whether you are eligible to claim your dietary consultations through Medicare with your doctor. This rebate can not be used in conjunction with private health insurance or any other offer. Those experiencing financial hardship may be eligible to have their consultations bulk billed. Please contact New Body New Life Nutrition prior to your initial appointment to discuss such circumstances.
New Body New Life Nutrition is a registered provider with the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA). All DVA Gold Card holders will be bulk billed with the appropriate D904 referral from your doctor.
Home visits are available for clients who are unable to attend set clinic hours due to lack of transport and/or mobility, work commitments etc. DVA clients are not required to pay additional fees for home visits.
We request that you please provide at least 24 hours notice if you are unable to attend an appointment with your dietitian. This will make the appointment time available to other clients and will not waste our time unnecessarily.
A $30 fee will be assessed to you if you choose to cancel you appointment within 24 hours, or should you fail to attend your appointment. Cancellation can be made via phone or email contact.
We recognise that short notice is inevitable in some situations, so discretion will be exercised in such circumstances.
