Brisbane Supermarket Tours
With all of the foods that are available within a supermarket, it’s easy to be overwhelmed. Not to mention all of the health and nutritional claims that food companies advertise, it is not uncommon for clients to think they’ve purchased a ‘healthy’ product, only to find out later it was actually quite a poor choice for their individual requirements.
Grocery shopping can be daunting, and it is unrealistic to expect that the average consumer should know how to interpret all of the information on food packaging. During a supermarket tour, your dietitian will be able to pass on knowledge to make grocery shopping less stressful.
Supermarket tours will be run in small groups, so you can be sure you’ll receive individual attention along with the support of like-minded consumers. Your dietitian will provide you with hands-on, practical information that can assist you in becoming confident in the food choices you are making.
Supermarket tours will generally last for 60 minutes. As you cover each aisle of the supermarket, your dietitian will teach you how to deduce nutrition information panels and how to interpret health claims such as ‘low fat’, ‘low GI’, ‘high fibre’ and ‘reduced salt’. We will also cover food comparisons and substitutions to determine which products may be more beneficial for you.
At the end of the tour, you will be provided with a booklet that summarises what was covered in the tour so that you can refer back at any time.
Supermarket Tours Cost:
$40 per person*, or $35 per person as a couple*.

Often it can be hard to find inspiration in the kitchen and be creative enough to pull together new meals for the family each week.
During our cooking classes, our dietitian will demonstrate 3 nutritious and delicious meals, ranging from breakfast to dinner options, and snacks for in between. You will also learn tips on how to modify recipes to assist in boosting the nutritional profile of a meal without missing out on flavour! And of course you get to taste everything that’s been prepared!
At the end of the class, your dietitian will provide you with a booklet full of healthy recipes for you and your family to enjoy. The cooking classes last between 90 minutes to 2 hours, and numbers are limited to 8 per class.
